Sheridan Road's
upcoming performances

On the Road with Ellington
March 1, 2018

Tulsa Performing Arts Center, John H. Williams Theater

In March, Sheridan Road presents a vocal jazz tribute to the iconic Edward Kennedy "Duke" Ellington, the most prolific, inspiring jazz artist of the twentieth century who influenced some of America's most original musical works.

Featuring some of Ellington's greatest hits such as "Don't Get Around Much Anymore, " "Satin Doll," and "Take the 'A' Train," Sheridan Road vocalists and combo will also showcase Ellington's later works that transcended the boundaries of jazz as we knew it, as well as his exploration of sacred works.

Also featured are pianist/arranger Brad Henderson and special musical guests.

Tickets are on sale now. To reserve your seats, call the PAC Ticket Office at 918-596-7111 or order online at www.myticketoffice.com.

Purchase in person at the PAC ticket office, 101 East Third Street, for reduced ticket fees. A free parking zone is available on Third Street in front of the building's entrance. Ticket office hours are Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and two hours prior to showtime.

This concert is made possible by the generous support of the Tulsa Performing Arts Center Trust.

A little about ourselves. . .

Sheridan Road is a Tulsa vocal jazz ensemble founded in 2012 by Dr. Barry Epperley, and the the latest in a long line of vocal ensembles created during Epperley's time as Artistic Director of the Signature Symphony at TCC (previously the Oklahoma Sinfonia).

The ensemble features an eclectic group of Tulsa vocalists that combine to create a lush vocal jazz sound, but can also explore genres from chamber music to gospel and a cappella pop. This year you might hear us sing 70's pop and Latin jazz, but other shows could also feature Renaissance, folk music, or a classical tango. We are out to explore the boundaries of small ensemble works in popular and classical forms. . . (more)
